This CASL Compliance Policy is designed to outline Techquila Freelancing Inc.’s commitment to complying with the Canadian Anti-Spam Law (CASL) when sending commercial electronic messages (CEMs).
Consent:
Techquila Freelancing Inc. is committed to obtaining and maintaining valid consent from individuals before sending them CEMs. Consent may be express or implied, and detailed records of consent are maintained.
Identification:
All CEMs sent by Techquila Freelancing Inc. will clearly identify the sender, including the organization's contact information, such as a physical mailing address, and a way for recipients to contact Techquila Freelancing Inc.
Unsubscribe Mechanism:
Every CEM sent by Techquila Freelancing Inc. includes a functional and user-friendly unsubscribe mechanism, allowing recipients to opt-out of receiving further messages.
Content Requirements:
Techquila Freelancing Inc. ensures that all CEMs contain accurate and non-misleading information regarding the sender's identity and the purpose of the message.
Record-Keeping:
Records of consent are maintained by Techquila Freelancing Inc., including when and how consent was obtained. Records are kept for audit and compliance purposes.
Third-Party Marketing:
When Techquila Freelancing Inc. utilizes third-party services for CEM distribution, Techquila Freelancing Inc. is responsible for ensuring that these third-party messages comply with CASL.
Training and Awareness:
Techquila Freelancing Inc. provides training and resources to staff responsible for sending CEMs to ensure compliance with CASL.
Auditing and Reporting:
Techquila Freelancing Inc. periodically audits its CEM practices to ensure continued compliance with CASL. Any CASL violations will be reported and addressed promptly.

The responsibility for CASL compliance at Techquila Freelancing Inc. rests with Data Protection Officer, who will oversee the adherence to this policy.
